WHO IS IN THIS PHOTO??

This week, we have a very special CONTEST for all of our "Meat Matters" subscribers.

Hopefully you have noticed the beautiful new color signs in our store advertising www.MainStreetMeats.com and also asking folks to sign up for this email list!

Well, on that sign, we have a black-and-white photo from the very early days of Farmingdale Meat Market.  We don't know exactly when the photo is from, but we are guessing sometime around 1950 or so.

HERE IS THE PHOTO:

Mystery Photo

NOW, HERE IS THE CONTEST:

Who are the women and the girl in the photo??

If you, or anyone you know, can identify the women and the little girl in the photo, we will give you a $100 gift certificate to Farmingdale Meat Market.  That's right, you'll get $100 worth of meat just for telling us who is in the photo!  The first person to give us some answers will win the prize.  (Of course, we'll need to verify your answer with a little research of our own.)

Keep in mind, the image is about 60 years old so the little girl in the photo is probably now in her 70's.

And, in case you are wondering, the tallest man behind the counter is Julius Seelig the founder of Farmingdale Meat Market.

ALSO LOOKING FOR OLD NEWSPAPER ADS, PHOTOS OR ANYTHING ELSE...

If you have old newspaper ads, photos, or anything else that pertains to the old days of Farmingdale Meat Market, we'd love to see what you have.  Anyone who contributes some good memorabilia will get a FREE deck of Main Street Meat playing cards...they are the hottest new cards to hit the poker circuit!

We are looking to compile materials from the old days to put up on our website, so anything you can contribute would be greatly appreciated.  Maybe you have some photos of the Stanley Cup in the store in the 80's or maybe you have an old Farmingdale Meat Market shopping bag...whatever it is, we'd love to see it!
